Leadville Area Mines

One of the most famous Leadville mines was the Little Johnny located in the "gold belt" near Iowa gulch. This complex grew into the Ibex Mining Corporation and produced Lead, Silver, Gold and Copper. James Brown was the proud owner of the Little Johnny and his wife was the famous "Unsinkable Molly Brown" who became a society party legend and hero of the Titanic sinking.
